Day 1 camped by the lockland river booligal.
Good first day 650 km.
Nearly lost a wallet, lost our way twice, nursing the bike after being 20km short of next fuel stop (Ivanhoe).

This blog follows the trials and tribulations of a couple of enduro riders normally accustomed to riding Yamaha’s WR400 etc. who have decided to take on the ‘Dual Sport’ animals with the idea of travelling Australia using as little as possible of that black stuff. Follow them as they purchase the BMW F800GS set them up for dirt riding and learn how to ride them in ‘real’ off-road conditions. Then take them across some of the harshest tracks throughout Australia.
